01 — Families

A hotel with 19 rooms, not a holiday camp.

Family-run since 1983, with nineteen rooms and the owner here in person. No entertainment team, no numbered wristband. Childcare is available locally, and it's very well organised.

We have family rooms and suites, board games and books in the lounge, and space to play in the FREIRAUM. The real advantage is having everything close by: the Funpark, lifts and Kinderland are all in Fiss, within hiking distance.

Out exploring together

Family holidays with room to explore

A trail through the mountains, a look inside a mine, a day by the water. Twenty places to visit, each with a short sentence and more details behind the plus.

Woodland and discovery

06

Forscherpfad: knitted figures

01

Explorer Trail

Learn, explore and wonder. For little explorers and detectives. The third adventure trail leads to Ladis. Over around an hour and a half, you solve challenges about nature and general knowledge. At the end, you'll find Reblaus by Bonderosa in the village. This trail also has a puzzle booklet and, according to the local tourist board, is not designed for pushchairs.

Hexenweg: knitted figures

02

Witches' Trail

Puzzles and hands-on activities centred on a witch's house. One of the three adventure trails by Thomas Brezina, above Fiss.

Puzzles, hands-on activities and a story follow you along the whole trail, with a dedicated puzzle booklet too. Hiking time is around an hour and a quarter. The local tourist board lists the trail as unsuitable for pushchairs. You can stop for food and drink at Bergrestaurant Steinegg at the start, Kuh Alm along the way and Familienrestaurant Sonnenburg at the end.

Bären- und Wolfshöhle: knitted figures

03

Bear- and Wolf Cave

A cave in the woods, below Fiss. A stop on the trail between Fiss and Ladis, marked on the summer map. Caves to crawl into and explore, with no booking needed and no entry fee.

Piratenweg: knitted figures

04

Pirate Trail

A ghost ship and pirate treasure in the middle of the woods. The adventure trail in Serfaus: 2,25 kilometres long, with a puzzle booklet, play stations and a pirate story that runs along the whole trail.

The local tourist board recommends it for schoolchildren aged around six to twelve. As with all three adventure trails by Thomas Brezina, you get a certificate at the end.

Kinder-Bergwerk: knitted figures

05

Children’s-Mine

At Fisser Joch, at 2.436 metres, with a cave passage. High up at Fisser Joch, at 2.436 metres: climbing stations, balancing equipment, slides and a cave tunnel with glittering stones, where little miners search for golden treasure.

The highest playground on this map. You can get there by cable car.

X-Trees high ropes course: knitted figures

06

X-Trees High Ropes Course

A high ropes course among the trees at Platöll. The X-Trees forest ropes park in Serfaus has courses at different heights and difficulty levels, with safety equipment and an introductory briefing. It has its own opening hours and is separate from the mountain lifts.

Water

04

Murmliwasser: knitted figures

07

Murmliwasser

15.000 square metres of water play beside a mountain stream. The water playground in Serfaus has streams to dam and divert, play stations and plenty of room to splash about, with mountains all around. Made for children who would rather be in the water than on the trail.

Wolfsee: knitted figures

08

Wolfsee

The lake at the eastern end of Fiss, with a play park. A lake on the high plateau, marked on the summer map. A path runs around it and is easy to combine with one of the themed trails.

Platöll leisure area: knitted figures

09

Platöll Leisure Area

An outdoor swimming pool, beach volleyball, a trampoline and a playground. The Platöll leisure area is in the village of Fiss, so you can get there without taking a mountain lift.

Hög adventure park: knitted figures

10

Hög Adventure Park

At Högsee: pedal boats, raft building and a suspension bridge. The adventure park at Högsee in Serfaus has pedal boats and a raft on the lake, a water playground with a suspension bridge, a wooden ball run course and a timber trail exploring the history of forestry. Seealm Hög is right beside the lake. The wooden ball trail leading there takes around an hour and is suitable for pushchairs.

Fast and high

06

Serfauser Sauser: knitted figures

11

Serfauser Sauser

Around two kilometres long, at up to 65 km/h. The zip wire in Serfaus runs for around two kilometres in four stages, from the Sunliner top station down to the Komperdellbahn valley station. Secured to a steel cable and with an automatic brake, you travel downhill at up to 65 kilometres per hour and up to 85 metres above the ground. Children can ride from age 10, provided they are at least 1,30 metres tall and weigh at least 30 kilograms. You do not need to book ahead in summer. The ride does not operate in rain or wet conditions. You need a valid mountain lift ticket for the ride (summer 2026: children 30,50 euros, teenagers 44 euros, adults 49 euros).

Fisser Flieger: knitted figures

12

Fisser Flieger

Face down, 47 metres above the ground, at up to 80 km/h. Strapped into an eagle-shaped flying machine, you lie face down and glide downhill over alpine meadows at up to 80 kilometres per hour, unlike a zip wire, where you hang from the cable.

Skyswing: knitted figures

13

Skyswing

Pulled up around 22 metres. The swing at the Sommer-Funpark Fiss pulls you around 22 metres into the air. At the top, you have a moment to take in the mountain views before heading down.

Bike park: knitted figures

14

Bike park

Dedicated trails down the mountain. The region has nine bike park trails and eight singletrack trails, plus over 200 kilometres of routes graded from blue to black.

The bike park has a dedicated training area and a kids' zone. Bike hire and the bike school are by the valley station, with bikes ranging from children's bikes to electric enduro bikes.

Schneisenfeger family coaster: knitted figures

15

Schneisenfeger Family-Coaster

The second summer toboggan run, in Serfaus. The family coaster at Erlebnispark Serfaus is the gentler of the two summer toboggan runs on this map. The region recommends it for younger children.

Fisser Flitzer: knitted figures

16

Fisser Flitzer

Summer toboggan run. You set the pace. The summer toboggan run at the Sommer-Funpark Fiss. You control the speed: take it easy and enjoy the views, or pull the handle all the way.

Animals, play and food

04

Petting zoo: knitted figures

17

Petting zoo

Goats to stroke, at over 1.800 metres. At the Sommer-Funpark Fiss, at over 1.800 metres, beside the water playground, sand play area and Kneipp pool. The map shows a second petting zoo at the Schöngampalm.

Wildlife and falconry: knitted figures

18

Wildlife and falconry

Wildlife enclosures and falconry, above Fiss. The wildlife enclosures and falconry centre sit side by side above Fiss near Frommes, with animals you would usually only see from a distance.

Bertas Indianerland: knitted figures

19

Bertas Indianerland

Tents, a fire pit and room to run. A play area with tents and a fire pit, marked between Fiss and Ladis in the village area on the summer map. Room to run, with no scheduled activities and no need to register.

Schöngampalm: knitted figures

20

Schöngampalm

At 1.882 metres, with a playground beside it. The Schöngampalm sits at 1.882 metres. The map lists a playground, petting zoo, mountain bike hire and barbecue station here. A place to stop for a bite where the children don't have to stay at the table.

02 — Super. Sommer. Card.

Childcare is included in the card.

The Super. Sommer. Card. includes childcare for children aged three and over at the Mini&Maxi Club Fiss-Ladis and the Murmli Club Serfaus.

You can pick up your card at reception from 8 am.

The same card covers the mountain lifts and hiking bus, as well as guided walks. Childcare runs during the day from Monday to Friday, with supervision over the lunch break too.

03 — To be honest

What we have and what we don't.

We don't have a dedicated children's area or an in-house entertainment team.

If that's what you're looking for, somewhere else will suit you better. A hotel with nineteen rooms can't provide a full day's programme of activities.

If you're looking for a quiet hotel with everything close by, you're in the right place. The activities are out in the region, with more on offer than any hotel could provide.

NO
entertainment team, no in-house children's club
NO
pool and no children's pool
WHAT WE DO HAVE
everything within hiking distance

04 — Adventure trails

A summer where children choose their own adventures.

Thomas Brezina has created three adventure trails, one in each village. You can pick up the puzzle booklet at the tourist information offices and lift ticket offices.

05 — Funpark

The Funpark is in Fiss.

The Fisser Flieger, Skyswing and Fisser Flitzer summer toboggan run are at the Summer Funpark in Fiss, right here in the village.

Murmliwasser, with its streams, play stations and suspension bridges, is over in Serfaus. The hiking bus there is included with the Super. Sommer. Card.

You don't need a car to get back: the lifts take you down, and from the village it's a few minutes' walk to us.

06 — Winter

Winter, when skis are still too big.

Three children's areas covering a total of 125.000 square metres, two ski schools with more than 700 ski instructors. At Bertas Kinderland, children learn to ski without it ever looking like a lesson.

07 — Ski storage

Warm ski boots, every morning.

In winter, ski storage at Intersport Pregenzer at the base station is included free of charge. You walk there in your normal shoes and change when you get up there. No lugging your kit around, and your boots are dry.

08 — Evenings

In the evening, when everyone is tired.

The saunas are open daily from 4 pm to 8 pm at no extra charge; children under 15 are welcome until 6 pm when accompanied by an adult.

Then coffee and hot chocolate, a light supper in FREIRAUM until 9 pm and Pinsa Romana as an evening pop-up. You'll need to pre-order it.

We're a Bed & Breakfast, not a half-board hotel. A good breakfast in the morning, your own light supper in the evening: bring your own, buy something from us or order one of our bread boxes.
