Homemade ice cream

We make our ice cream ourselves too. We use regional milk and cream from Ladis from the Gasslbauer farm, eggs from Pfunds from Melanie Schlatter and chocolate from Summerbird. Children and grown-ups alike love our homemade ice creams.

Ice cream under the Austrian Food Codex

In Austria the Austrian Food Codex, chapter B 2, regulates the names of ice creams, above all by milk fat content.

Milk fat and flavouring ingredients

Ice cream sold with reference to cream or milk may contain no fats other than milk fat, unless they come from flavouring ingredients such as chocolate or hazelnuts.
